Dr. Zerkle is a native of the Springfield area, attending Rochester High School, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and then graduating from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. The transformation of her own smile sparked Dr. Zerkle’s interest in dentistry. Improvement in her self-esteem inspired Dr. Zerkle to help create that confidence and self-assurance for others. It is the interaction with people, use of knowledge and hand skills, and facing new challenges daily that keep dentistry interesting for Dr. Zerkle. She is known for her quick, easy & comfortable dental experiences. Overall health and wellness has always been important to her and she takes pride in helping her patients achieve success. Dr. Zerkle is part of the American Dental Association, The Illinois State Dental Society and is a board member of the GV Black Dental Society. She has achieved fellowship status with The International Congress of Oral Implantologists. She also currently serves on the Lincoln Land Community College Foundation board of directors as well as the Vision for Hope board for the Hope school.
When not providing dental care, Dr. Zerkle can be found on a golf course, working out, boating, or simply spending quality time with her family. Her and her husband, Adam, stay busy with their two children, Amelia and Walter, and a fun pup, Enzo at home. Life can be a wild ride, but she is glad to have her friends and family alongside her.
