Dr. Joon Sohn

Dr. Joon Sohn attended Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health where he received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry. He decided to pursue dentistry as a career after a 4-month volunteering trip in Costa Rica where he saw reduced access to dental care. After that Costa Rica trip, he worked as a dental assistant for more than two years before moving on to attend dental school. During dental school, Dr. Sohn continued volunteering in Mexico and at community health clinics in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Idaho and Montana. Dr. Sohn was originally born and raised in South Korea. His family moved to California when he was 17 years old. At the time, he barely spoke English, and first began learning English through watching the Disney channel. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Sohn enjoys going on hikes, working out at the gym, watching sports, and trying out new foods.
